Information technology (IT) organizations across all industries perform many tasks, including developing, deploying, and maintaining application services needed to meet business objectives. Typically, accomplishing these tasks has required the collaboration of two different groups — developers to develop and support the right application services and infrastructure and operations (I&O) to deploy and maintain those services.
