News outlet combats fake news with blockchain

The New York Times has announced that they aim to use #blockchain #technology to tackle #fakenews.

The news outlet said that they’ll embed a “set of signals that can travel with published #media anywhere that material is displayed.”

In theory, any changes that are made to the image will be invalidated, thus combatting #misinformation and doctored media.
