Facebook could soon read your mind

#Facebook has recently been handed a $5 billion fine over their handling of user data. Now they want to read your mind.

The research, conducted by scientists at the University of California San Francisco, uses a “non-invasive, #wearable device” which uses #machinelearning #algorithms to turn brain activity to speech.

The device is able to recognise thoughts, converting them to native language. Facebook’s involvement has come under scrutiny from those in the field, who call for these concerns to be addressed.
